ACCESS DENIED – for your own safety
This site-specific installation explores the tension between security and restriction, control and protection. It transforms the space into a statement on the power of barriers—both physical and psychological. Bold letters spell “ACCESS DENIED”, dominating the space with urgency and inaccessibility. Nearby, a hand-scrawled “for your own safety” appears imperfect, like an afterthought—a quiet whisper beneath loud authority. The showcase glass itself acts as a barrier, reinforcing themes of access, exclusion, and systemic control.
