Mass Debut

Making ground for the upcoming

Fantasising about the self exposure in a body of intermittent divinity in queer resistance. Nasty affairs surrounding futurism and keeping mythologies as living projects we believe in. To envisage discrimination, incomprehension and fear through pictures, creating a gender constellation as a form of identity retreat. We study the altered states of self exhibition in the media, where every image is a forthcoming implementation against dullness. Hermaphroditic angels too cute to be alone, reclaiming and bringing prosperity and change to the city throughout all social strata. Divinity is a state of mind.

This series of paintings aims to neutralise the forces that disrupt the social balance between genders, and to elevate minorities and women into desirable positions in society. We present their image as deities and bring oddity and “out of norm” personalities to the sphere of the divine. We live in a time where gender studies is a career option but death by hate crime is still a reality.

This paintings have their origin in a photographic session where together with dance performers we play with breasts as a symbol of femininity and nurturing, and love as the ultimate bond between beings. The painting process of this images emphasises the divination of the figures, creating relations with classical representation of nobility or religion.

Using mythology and analogies from the past to better understand the prognosis of the future is one of the best human tools for dissipating ideas towards an ideal evolutionary goal.
